Supporting families with young children

Welcome to Home-Start Corby

Home-Start is one of the UK’s leading family support charities, a voluntary organisation offering support to children and families in their local area.

Home-Start Corby’s aim is to support every child we work alongside, and their family, to have the best possible start in life. Our trained volunteers visit families weekly in their own homes and provide tailored practical and emotional support to help parents and children build confidence, independence, resilience and community connections.

We support with many areas of family life such as parental mental health, isolation, postnatal illness, disability, bereavement, multiple births and parenting skills.

We also provide a lottery funded project called Home Wasn't Built in a Day, working together with many partner organisations across Corby, which helps with the more practical concerns of family life such as creating a better/safer home environment and includes many workshops such as paediatric first aid, Debt management, Healthier lifestyles for example.

This early intervention service can support families to access many other community services and we work in partnership with them to ensure families receive the best support when they need it most.
